We only accept original comment pieces and ask that all submissions comply with the following guidelines:
- Pieces should not exceed 750 words
- Spell out names rather than using acronyms
- Links to further reading are permissible provided they are not commercial in nature
- Generic press releases are not accepted
- Product promotion is not accepted
- Comments about events, such as budgets, sporting occasions and international gatherings, need to be submitted during or very shortly after those events to be considered

Éamonn Toland is a Sports Betting and iGaming Strategy Consultant and was formerly President of Paddy Power North America (2012-2016). His first book, The Pursuit of Kindness: An Evolutionary History of Human Nature, is available to purchase from 27 May.
Edward Clements is a recent MA graduate in History and Politics from University College London. He specialised in 20th century US history with a particular interest in the civil rights movement. He previously studied Philosophy and History at Newcastle University.
