Mr Bait Elmal was born in Libya on 13th January, 1988. His career has enabled him to build an expert understanding of Defence and Security Issues, together with Political and Public Affairs/ Issues Management expertise. Having joined the Libyan Ministry of Defence in 2014, he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science in 2018. This was followed by a Master's degree in 2020 based on the study of “State Sovereignty and Contemporary Changes”

In 2021, he was appointed Director of the Office of the Deputy Minister of Education, and an Advisor at the Ministry of Education in 2022. Since 2023, he has served in the diplomatic corps, based at the Embassy of Libya in Bosnia & Herzegovina, and in 2024 he was assigned responsibility for the country’s International Cooperation portfolio operating out of that embassy.
