What Comment Central is

Comment Central is Britain's leading platform for expert opinion and political commentary, publishing analysis from MPs, academics, business leaders, and specialist journalists across politics, economics, and public affairs.

The site is commentcentral.co.uk, produced in partnership with Bridgehead Communications.

How it works

Every article is an opinion or analysis piece written by a named, attributable contributor and grouped by subject. Nothing is published under an anonymous or house byline.

Contributors apply and submit through a dedicated portal at contributors.commentcentral.co.uk ("Write for us"), and go through editorial review before anything is published. Each contributor gets a public profile page listing their job title, affiliation and areas of expertise, with links out to their own site, LinkedIn, Twitter/X or Facebook. Contributors can include sitting Members of Parliament: profile photos for MPs are pulled directly from the UK Parliament's official members-api.parliament.uk portrait service.
