We only accept original comment pieces and ask that all submissions comply with the following guidelines:
- Pieces should not exceed 750 words
- Spell out names rather than using acronyms
- Links to further reading are permissible provided they are not commercial in nature
- Generic press releases are not accepted
- Product promotion is not accepted
- Comments about events, such as budgets, sporting occasions and international gatherings, need to be submitted during or very shortly after those events to be considered

Rezina Chowdhury is Deputy Leader of Lambeth Council (Sustainable Lambeth and Clean Air) with responsibility for action on the climate, ecological emergency and advancing sustainable mobilities. Rezina has represented Streatham Hill East since 2014.
Colin Beattie is a Scottish National Party politician who was born on 17 October 1951. He has served as Member of the Scottish Parliament for the Midlothian North constituency since 2011, representing what was previously known as Midlothian North and Musselburgh before boundary changes. Before entering the Scottish Parliament, Beattie built his political career in local government as a councillor on Midlothian Council, where he rose to become the SNP group leader.
Throughout his time at Holyrood, Beattie has represented his Midlothian constituents on local and national policy matters. His career demonstrates a sustained commitment to SNP politics at both council and parliamentary level, progressing from local leadership to representation in Scotland's devolved legislature. Connor James Naismith is a British Labour Party politician who has represented Crewe and Nantwich as Member of Parliament since 2024. As a parliamentarian, he identifies with the Blue Labour faction within the Parliamentary Labour Party, positioning himself among the more socially conservative voices in his party.
Naismith's political affiliation with Blue Labour reflects an approach that emphasises traditional social values alongside economic interventionism, distinguishing him from other wings of the Labour movement. Since entering Parliament, he has contributed to political discourse from this distinctive ideological perspective within the governing party. He writes commentary for Comment Central.
