We only accept original comment pieces and ask that all submissions comply with the following guidelines:
- Pieces should not exceed 750 words
- Spell out names rather than using acronyms
- Links to further reading are permissible provided they are not commercial in nature
- Generic press releases are not accepted
- Product promotion is not accepted
- Comments about events, such as budgets, sporting occasions and international gatherings, need to be submitted during or very shortly after those events to be considered

Dame Louise Joyce Ellman is a British politician who represented Liverpool Riverside as a Labour Member of Parliament from 1997 to 2019. Before entering Parliament, she built an extensive career in local government, serving as a Lancashire County Council councillor from 1970, becoming Labour group leader in 1977 and leading the council from 1981 to 1997. During her time at Westminster, she chaired the influential Transport Select Committee from 2008 to 2017, establishing herself as a prominent voice on transport policy matters.
Throughout her career, Dame Louise has been closely associated with Jewish community leadership and pro-Israel advocacy, serving as Chair of Labour Friends of Israel until February 2020 and as Honorary President of the Jewish Labour Movement. She was appointed Vice President of the Jewish Leadership Council in 2016. In October 2019, she resigned from the Labour Party citing concerns about antisemitism and the prospect of a Jeremy Corbyn-led government, though she rejoined in 2021. She was appointed Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire in the 2018 Queen's Birthday Honours. Dame Louise now writes commentary for Comment Central.

Daniel Robert Kawczynski is a Polish-born British politician who served as a Conservative Party Member of Parliament until 2024. During his parliamentary career, he held several significant positions including Parliamentary Private Secretary at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and parliamentary aide to former Welsh Secretary David Jones. He also served as a member of the Foreign Affairs Select Committee, reflecting his expertise in international relations and foreign policy matters.
Kawczynski's particular area of focus was Central and Eastern Europe, a subject on which he advised Prime Minister David Cameron. In this capacity, he served as Special Advisor on Central and Eastern Europe and on Central and Eastern Europeans living in the United Kingdom, bringing valuable insight given his Polish heritage. His parliamentary tenure came to an end on 4 July 2024, when he lost his Shrewsbury constituency seat to Labour candidate Julia Buckley in what proved to be a historic electoral landslide for the Labour Party. He now writes commentary for Comment Central.
