We only accept original comment pieces and ask that all submissions comply with the following guidelines:
- Pieces should not exceed 750 words
- Spell out names rather than using acronyms
- Links to further reading are permissible provided they are not commercial in nature
- Generic press releases are not accepted
- Product promotion is not accepted
- Comments about events, such as budgets, sporting occasions and international gatherings, need to be submitted during or very shortly after those events to be considered

Paula Michelle Sherriff is a British Labour politician who represented Dewsbury as Member of Parliament from 2015 to 2019. Born on 16 April 1975, Sherriff served a single parliamentary term during a period of significant political change in the United Kingdom, including the Brexit referendum and its aftermath.
During her time in the House of Commons, Sherriff was active in representing her Yorkshire constituency and engaging with national political debates. Her tenure as Dewsbury MP concluded following the 2019 general election. Peter Alexander Bedford is a British Conservative Party politician who has served as Member of Parliament for Mid Leicestershire since 2024. Born on 3 February 1986, Bedford represents his constituency in the House of Commons following his election in the most recent general election.
