We only accept original comment pieces and ask that all submissions comply with the following guidelines:
- Pieces should not exceed 750 words
- Spell out names rather than using acronyms
- Links to further reading are permissible provided they are not commercial in nature
- Generic press releases are not accepted
- Product promotion is not accepted
- Comments about events, such as budgets, sporting occasions and international gatherings, need to be submitted during or very shortly after those events to be considered

Melisa is an MA Political Economy graduate from King’s College London, with an interest in how policy decisions shape everyday life.
Michael Burgass is Co-founder and Director of corporate conservation consultancy, Biodiversify. He specialises in large-scale biodiversity monitoring, the design and use of biodiversity indicators, and integrating nature into corporate decision-making and accounting. Michael has played a key role in advancing nature-positive frameworks globally, including leading Biodiversify’s contributions to the Conservation Hierarchy project and the Science Based Targets for Nature.
Michael Marcotte is the Co-Founder of the US National Cybersecurity Centre (NCC) and previously served as Chair of its Rapid Response Centre. He is also the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of artius.iD.
Michael Whitney Freer, born 29 May 1960, is a British Conservative Party politician and former banker who represented Finchley and Golders Green as Member of Parliament from 2010 until standing down in 2024. During his parliamentary career, he served as Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Courts and Legal Services from September 2022 to July 2024, focusing on justice policy and the legal system.
Before entering Westminster, Freer built significant experience in local government as leader of Barnet Council and as a councillor for the St Paul's and Finchley Church End wards. His background in banking combined with his extensive public service provided him with expertise across finance, local government administration, and justice matters. Michael Molloy, born 22 December 1940, is a British author, former newspaper editor and cartoonist who has made significant contributions to British journalism and the arts. Throughout his career, Molloy distinguished himself in the newspaper industry, combining editorial leadership with creative talents as a cartoonist. His professional experience spans multiple facets of media and publishing, establishing him as a respected figure in British journalism.
Beyond his editorial work, Molloy has pursued his creative interests as an accomplished painter, with his artwork exhibited in galleries throughout the United Kingdom and the South of France. Art remains a profound creative passion for him, complementing his career in journalism and writing. As an author, he has contributed to public discourse through his written work, drawing on his extensive experience in media and the arts. Molloy now writes commentary for Comment Central, bringing his diverse professional background to analyses of contemporary issues.
