About Steven

Steven Marcus Woolfe is a British barrister, writer, and commentator who currently serves as Director of the Centre for Migration & Economic Prosperity, a research think tank examining population and immigration issues in the United Kingdom, Europe, and the United States. Born on 6 October 1967, Woolfe has established himself as a prominent voice on migration policy and economic matters.

Woolfe served as a Member of the European Parliament for North West England from 2014 to 2019. He was initially elected as a UKIP MEP in 2014 but resigned from the party in October 2016 to sit as an Independent MEP, citing his opposition to what he viewed as the party's overly negative immigration policy. He continued serving as an independent member until July 2019. Through his work at the Centre for Migration & Economic Prosperity and his practice as a barrister, Woolfe focuses on immigration, population dynamics, and economic policy. He writes commentary for Comment Central.
