About Rupin

Rupin Banker is an entrepreneur, investor and strategic adviser with more than three decades of experience in infrastructure finance, international trade, supply-chain management and private investment. His work is focused on emerging economies across South and South-East Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

He began his business career at the age of 18 in his family’s timber and plywood operations in India. The wider enterprise, which employed more than 3,000 people, gave him experience of manufacturing, international sourcing, commercial distribution and workforce management. It shaped his understanding of how infrastructure and supply chains both support sustainable economic growth.

In 2003, Rupin Banker established The Banker Group, a family holding company through which he manages a portfolio of commercial and investment interests. Its activities span real estate, venture capital, public markets, pharmaceutical intermediates, healthcare and privately owned businesses.

He founded Royal Fort Infracom General Trading LLC in the United Arab Emirates in 2012. The company provides procurement, international trade and supply-chain solutions for businesses and infrastructure projects operating across developing markets in the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

As co-founder of Strategic Global Alliance, Rupin works with governments, project developers and investors on the financing and commercial structuring of infrastructure opportunities. He examines how public-sector priorities can be translated into credible projects capable of attracting long-term institutional capital.
