Patricia Gibson is a Scottish National Party politician who has represented Cunninghame South in the Scottish Parliament since May 2026. Born on 12 May 1968, she previously served as Member of Parliament for North Ayrshire and Arran from 2015 to 2024, during which time she held the position of SNP Shadow Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government between 2021 and 2022.
Since September 2023, Gibson has served as the SNP Attorney General Spokesperson, a role focusing on legal and constitutional matters. Her political career has encompassed both Westminster and Holyrood, with particular emphasis on housing policy, local government, and community affairs during her time in the House of Commons. She writes commentary for Comment Central.
