About Jo

Joanna Mary Gideon, born in November 1952, is a British Conservative Party politician who represented Stoke-on-Trent Central in Parliament following her election in December 2019. She served as the Member of Parliament for this constituency until the 2024 general election, during which time she worked on issues affecting her Midlands seat and contributed to parliamentary debate. Her tenure in the House of Commons coincided with a significant period in British politics, including the post-Brexit transition and the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.

During her time as an MP, Gideon gained experience in parliamentary procedures and constituency representation, focusing on the needs of Stoke-on-Trent Central and its residents. Following the conclusion of her parliamentary service in 2024, she continues to share her insights and perspectives on British politics and policy matters.
