About Donna

Donna Hutchison is Chief Executive Officer of Aberdeen Cyrenians, and a recognised cross-sector change leader with over 20 years’ experience spanning private industry and civil society.

She leads the organisation’s strategic transformation and a public health approach to preventing homelessness and reducing health inequity, supporting thousands of households across the North East of Scotland each year.

Before joining Aberdeen Cyrenians, Donna founded and led Quensh, an international risk and compliance consultancy operating within the energy sector across the UK and Australia for 16 years. Her career has been defined by building opportunity, strengthening workforce capability, and driving collaborative system change that delivers measurable and inclusive impact.

Donna brings a distinctive perspective to equity, diversity, and inclusion in energy – combining commercial insight with a deep understanding of social inequality and structural barriers. She works as a trusted “critical friend” to organisations including OEUK and GB Energy, supporting them to connect inclusive workforce practice more meaningfully with community impact and a fair transition.

She also serves as an External Advisor to Aberdeen City Council’s Anti-Poverty and Inequality Committee, a Policy Member of the Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce, a Director of the Granite Care Consortium, and a Chair Qualified Panel Member for Children’s Hearings Scotland. Donna is committed to inclusive leadership, amplifying lived experience in decision-making, and ensuring the energy transition creates opportunity for all.
