About Dominique
Dominique Palmer is a British climate justice activist, speaker and author who was born in 1999 and is of Jamaican, American and British heritage. A fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, she first became involved in climate activism through the Fridays for Future school strike movement. Palmer has since established herself as a prominent voice advocating for intersectional climate action and slow fashion, using platforms spanning music, media and policy to advance her message. She has spoken at major climate events where she encourages young people to approach environmental challenges with what she describes as urgency and hope. Her work particularly focuses on addressing eco-anxiety amongst young climate activists, and she champions a concept she calls climate joy as part of her broader advocacy. Palmer writes commentary for Comment Central.
