Graham Eric Stringer is a British Labour politician who has represented his Manchester constituency continuously in Parliament since 1997. First elected as Member of Parliament for Manchester Blackley, he went on to serve Blackley and Broughton from 2010 to 2024, and has represented Blackley and Middleton South since the 2024 general election. Between 1999 and 2002, he held minor governmental positions under Tony Blair's Labour administration.

Before his parliamentary career, Stringer was a prominent figure in Manchester local politics, serving as a city councillor from 1979 to 1998 for the Charlestown and Harpurhey ward. He led Manchester City Council for twelve years between 1984 and 1996, a period of significant transformation for the city.
