About Varuzhan
Varuzhan Nersesyan is an Armenian diplomat who has represented his country in two of its most significant overseas postings. He served as Ambassador of Armenia to the United States from November 2018 until July 2021, before taking up his current role as Ambassador to the United Kingdom in July 2021. During his tenure in London, Nersesyan oversaw a notable development in Armenia's diplomatic presence when the embassy relocated to new five-storey premises on St James Square, marking a significant upgrade from its previous location at the Armenian House, where it had operated since the embassy's establishment in 1992.
Through his senior diplomatic positions in Washington and London, Nersesyan has been at the forefront of Armenian foreign policy and bilateral relations with two key Western powers. He writes commentary for Comment Central.
